I have owned this for several years and we finally brought it into the workshop, stripped it and gave it 3 coats of green. The lights in the globe and behind the dial work but the pump doesn't.

Neat, that is very nice, if only petrol cost the same as when that was made, I used to get petrol out of one like that for my motorcycle - 4 shillings and fourpence a gallon, roughly 22p in new money!!!

Ahhh, the memories. I think I was paying 70p a gallon when I started driving.

34p/gallon for me and a pint of Star Light was 36p.
I was earning £33.00/week picking brussels and on the Friday afternoon (shift 6am-3pm) on the way back from work I'd go to the nearest station, fill up the Mini and buy 20 Players' No6, which would both last me all week 8-)
