I thought I'd share a brochure for Dunlop Wheels I picked up recently.

I never knew that reverse rims were known as D2s

Very nice, a pleasure to see. Thanks for that. Had them on my MGB GT V8. Said to have been the strongest wheels ever produced by Dunlop. Whoever designed them made sure that they were sooooo easy to clean too. I had a set on mine in the early 70's and used to jack the car up on a ramp, start engine, first gear wheels rotate and polish the outer wheel rims with a brillo pad

Who sells the best repro wheel centre DUNLOP logo sticker thinggies?

Cool brochure!

I have to chuckle at the D4's......"light alloy wheel that looks like steel wheel". How fashions have changed.

.....A BRILLO PAD !!!.. NEVER UNLESS U WANT TO SCORE THEM FOREVER .. !!!.. I always used Autosol..then buff with a clean duster... nothing beats it.. !!!.... my refurbed originals from 69 stayed looking new for nearly 2 decades..D1,s are deffo one of the original and best period wheels avail and as u say extremely durable..... as far as the repro centre logo,s ,.so many produce their own ... they are always avail at most mini shows and look pretty accurate.. u would never find unused originals in any event these days...... foxy52

I don't mean a brillo pad as in heavy duty pot scourer Foxy......, just one of those soapy scotchbrite pads. No actual glossy shine wot yu' could see your face in. Just a brilliant sheen. Am I forgiven? Amen!

Thanks for posting that as you’ve answered a question for me. I’ve got Dunlop D1’s on my Ado16 and was looking for them for my mk2 Sprite, they never did them! I’ll have to settle for Cosmics when I restore it
