CAN YOU E-MAIL FELLOW MEMBERS?

Post by mk1 »

I know the PM system does not work, but you should be able to e-mail other members directly, all be it without seeing their e-mail address.

As long as you have set your account up to be able to send & receive e-mails from other members everyone should be able to do this, if you do not see the icon below. Go to your user account, check out the settings and enable "send & receive e-mails" in your preferences. You will then be able to communicate directly with fellow members.

To activate e-mails:

Go to the Board Index page (front page)

Click on “User control Panel” in the top left hand corner.

Click on “Board Preferences” (8th item down on the left hand side)

At the top of the list where it says “Users can contact me by e-mail” ensure the box marked “YES” is highlighted.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page & press “submit”

You should then be able to send & receive e-mails to all board members.

I take it that most people have activated their e-mail facility on the site with no problems.

i've always had the ability to PM.

seems strange that people are having issues. its not a user setting is it?

Interesting that, cos everyone "should" be able to PM. It's just that some can't. I suggest that everyone checks their personal settings.

This thread was started about the e-mail feature. I would be more interested to know how many people have this feature.

I'm not too sure whether or not i can email other members on here. I have tried emailing you Mark (MK1) about those spots and fog lamps you had.
