They are trying hard to sell this one, would it ever get a Goodwood invite again?

Chris Lawrence has been trying to sell that since before its Goodwood appearance.

Yes, it has an interesting history, yes it's very nicely done.

BUT. As far as I know he had major problems getting it to work correctly in the 60's he had similar problems once it was restored & if the prices he has been asking elsewhere are anything to go by it won't make the reserve.

Oh & if I am being honest, I think it's as ugly as sin.

As far as I can see it has very little real history. It's not a car that lots of people coverted, it's not actually won or even competed in any high class events (such as Le Mans).

It's a quirky one-off, worth little over 10% of it's apparant re-built cost.

An as already pointed out, what would you do with it?

The current owner asked me to offer it to a Japanese acquaintance for a, ahem, spectacular price some months ago, but it was a no-go. So now it makes it to auction. I have tried to source a bit more of its history. Result here: http://maximummini.blogspot.com/2011/07 ... ioned.html
