Well, I continue!

ive been spending!

bought some cibie headlights off eBay... they look brand new!

Hi-Los and knuckle joints, Gaz lowered dampers for each corner, solid front subby mounts, braided one piece clutch hose, and a double skin fibreglass mk1 bootlid (not pictured! lols!)

i also took the 1100 and the subby out the bean, putting the 998 auto and subby back in... he then went into my grans barn to sleep until i have money/time to fix him... made me sad :cry: :(

ted, is your minus not on a solid earlyer type front subframe?

Its not, its the later single bolt frame....

NEWS!

look at my seats!!!

I got the passenger re-trimmed and cleaned up the drivers side, with some auto glym vinyl care! love them to bits!! only differance is the heat pressed stripes on the original and the stitched stripes on the re-trimmed seat, but they both shine like diamonds after that auto glym treatment, id recomend it to anyone!

well i got my rear subframe and selection of bits and bobs back from the shot blasters, gave the subby a lick of the old Hammerite...

Those handbrake quadrant pins look like they seen a bit of action and wear!

well, number one of two 'ill show you when its finished' is ready for showing!

I needed a Boss for my Formula/speedwell wheel, Lets see what I have in the shed...

An Old mountney boss was taken to work and i set to it on the very old skool lathe

off came the dished part

then onto the milling machine left me with this:

lovely! Just have to drill and tap for some wee bolts and get a crackle black finish!

well, been doing a bit more finishing on the old wheel arches...

they were all scappy on the edge where I'd cut them badly and they had not been evenly laid with fibreglass, so i bought some U channel strips to finish them off...

I used Tiger bond to make sure they stayed put, gonna finish blending them in tomorrow, then paint time!!

yer i did, he works for arc angels, so he borrowed the moulds... said he couldnt make me any :( sent me the link to the ones they make... £360 pair... no thanks... lol

ha! - so basically he went on retro rides and claimed he had made the moulds himself for his own car (and took all the glory for doing them!!!) , cheeky begger! - what a con - RUMBLED! :lol: :lol: :lol:

ted, i bought a set of grp doors for my brother minus of a lad of the mini forum, think he called himself stig... £200 they were, they needed finishing quite a bit though and wernt fantastic in my opinion, but they were a lot lighter and better in that respect because of that. i'l try find out some details. do you think its the same chap that guru mentioned?
