Veltone carpet BAS International

Post by 5portsrock »

Just received my Grey Veltone carpet set for my 66 Almond Green Cooper.

Really pleased with the quality and great cutomer service.

They also do red and black.

Speak to Rebecca at BAS international - 01633 873664 for samples.

Cheers, Fraser

Excellent, thanks for the reminder. I checked back in May and they weren't producing Veltone in red yet, but possibly now it's available.

Heard back this morning, red Veltone is still not available yet. Unfortunate, by the time they produce this material, I might have already installed the Newton type carpet.

Just called yesterday and Rebeca told me that they have black red and a grey currently in production.

Maybe she just doesn't like me?

I honestly emailed a week ago and she said there was no production scheduled for the red carpet yet. Interesting...

Can someone explain if this carpet set up is closer to the original pattern than say a newton commerical one?

Yep, it's night & day (even to non-anoraks like me).

I found a scrap of the original red Veltone hiding under the fresh air heater when I took it out of my car for the first time and compared it to the red Newton material. It was quite different. I'll try and take a picture of both types side-by-side.

i have contacted them today and they have none at the moment but should have at end of month, I was interested what the heel mat was like, the other person offering veltone has replica mk1 and mk2 heel mats and I had a sample and carpet is very good, just a little more expensive than this, but not enough to put me off paying for the correct heel mat,
