Rosepetals homoligation

Post by almondgreen »

Is it true that Rosepetal wheels are homoligated ?
If yes, where can I find this.

It would be helpful to legalize my Rosepetals here in Germany.

I may be wrong, but I suspect that they may not actually be homologated as such. I think it is just "accepted" within the historic racing community that Rosepetals were available pre 1966.

I may however be wrong.

Probably the best person to comment is Rich, but he's on holiday at the moment.

They were first fitted to the CCC Twini in early 1963, can't say I've seen 'em on a racer until early 1964 though.

Do you talk homologation for road use or race use ? I know in Germany is not so easy to change the type of wheels !!!

I am talking of homoligation.
I have a man at the TUEV (they decide if I can drive them or not), who will legalise them
for me, if I can show that they were homologated....

Andreas,

I have checked & I don't have any info on these wheels actually having been oficially homologated in the 1960s.

Sorry I can't help.
