"This was Comps Dept engine guru's (Cliff Humphries) mobile test bed car which was also used as a runabout by staff for local errands etc. I remember it as a full race spec 1293cc complete with pawl key LSD which proved a right handful on the Queen's highway....although the cars are lined up in the compound of the MG Car factory in Abingdon, the buildings in the photo are obviously not the Comps workshops."
