Here's an article that appeared in Autocar about th epreparation of the Cooper Car Company cars as driven by John Rhodes and Steve Neal. Note the tables on the last page listing the different final drive and wheels sizes used for certain tracks.

They had to be wet throughout the BSCC Gp5 era (66 to 69). The S was only homologated wet under the new Appendix J from 1.1.66. until dry option was homologated (1.4.70. ? without checking).spoon.450 wrote:Great article. Interesting that the cars were kept hydrolastic. Thanks for posting.
One of the requirements for Gp5 was that the vehicle had to have been homologated in Gp2 first. It gets confusing because, later on, what had been Gp6 at that time became Gp5.

CAV stands for C. A. Vandervell and Co and made all sorts of things for cars

It's a fuel filter, used mainly on diesel engines every thing from Ford Transits to industrial engines.ManyMiniCoopers wrote:What is a CAV filter, that is with the fuel pump picture?

It is a high volume fuel filter than runs in the high pressure side of the FI system.
