Wood, looks good! And the green is really really dark!
Now the fun part of the project begins, building up the car with all the hard searched rare parts!

Help!
ANy idea what is the width of the bonnet white stripes?
I found 2 1/2" in Cooper's book, and did not check it until it is painted on the bonnet!
Looks like its much wider!

Hi Al,
We have 4" stripes on the MK1, made some paper test stripes first.

Re: GPH1C Replica Asia
I've seen a few photos of cars where the stripes do look a little skinnier but not that skinny Al ! Looking good otherwise !

Hi Al,
I think the MK2 is a 'look alike' Im not sure it was a genuine CCC car. What do you think Pete??
Mike.

The reflectors between the headlights and indicators are a South African feature.Lookalikey of a '68 works car, wasn't that car run privately in South Africa or somewhere , can't quite recall the story .
As they were the BMC team I would have thought Coopers would have to run an Austin and Morris whenever possible. Think GPH 1C was always an Austin.

They did until '68 when the cars were all Austins for some reason ?Simon776 wrote: As they were the BMC team I would have thought Coopers would have to run an Austin and Morris whenever possible.

Or was that Morris? All the shots I have for 68 & 69 (Britax) have a silver background to the bonnet badge!Surf 1275 wrote:They did until '68 when the cars were all Austins for some reason ?Simon776 wrote: As they were the BMC team I would have thought Coopers would have to run an Austin and Morris whenever possible.

Sorry yes, slight blonde moment . All the 68 cars were Morris badged (but all entered as Austins oddly) and the '69 Britax cars were mixed.
Bored yet ? This is the very stuff of life to some !
