ran out on monday, used my emergency can, put £25 quid in the tank and thought 'thats a hell of a lot of petrol'

turns out its not as much as i thought.....

this time of course my can was empty (see above....)

great, a two mile walk later...........

oh, and it started raining!

never mind the fuel gauge, someone's squashed it!

oh, and 3 times on my walk to go sledging, buggers in cars sprayed me in very wet slush as they drove past - all over me, Robin in the sledge I was pulling, and Innes in his pushchair. Can't imagine none of them saw us?

I wouldn't have minded a bit of rain on a road with no traffic!

I know that feeling only too well
My last "Long walk" was 3 weeks ago, turned out to be a broken crank in my CCC.

ouch, that must have been a proper head down, hands in pocket slouching walk - the 'thats just cost a fortune walk'

mine was more of an embaresed walk of shame!

I've run out of petrol once... was very late at night at the bottom of a hill just before my folks house... I had to ring round my mates Dad's at midnight to try and find some fuel... I had a girl in the car who I shouldn't have had in the car...
