Re: Goodwood 75th Members Meeting Weslake Cup
I'm hoping Will can do it, partly as he's one of my best mates and also he's wearing one of our new race suits....whether he'll be allowed to win is a different storybillycooper wrote:entry list , Will Corry Victory ???

Re: Goodwood 75th Members Meeting Weslake Cup
Only one FWD in the Weslake Cup . Well at least there's one Ogle to Oggle.
The Jordan/Swift GT worries the big boys in the dry, if it does rain it will be a guaranteed win (if they keep it on the island).
Cleaning/Charging cameras tomorrow and thinking about what shots to take.
The BBC have no idea what the weather will be, so it might rain, it might not.

Re: Goodwood 75th Members Meeting Weslake Cup
Really hope Will Corry will do well. It's a disappointment to say the least to see only ONE single front wheel drive car in the Weslake Cup, why didn't they just call it the Spridget Trophy?? You think some of the usual suspects would have come up with a really competative Jem, Marcos or even the 'DART'? (especially as it won last time out!)
Despite Mark Feetham's very kind offer I've decided to bail again this year, especially after cocking up my ticket booking.
Ho hum, Youtube it is.

Must admit I've been very tempted to go, but when adding in fuel there and back etc plus tickets, it's well over £300 !Pete wrote:Really hope Will Corry will do well. Re: Goodwood 75th Members Meeting Weslake Cup
Swift/Jordan qualied fourth!
Will Corry was well up until he pulled into the pits, engined brewed up I think. Qualiied 13th, I would expect better tomorrow.
The lone Mini derivative in the newly re-christened 'Spridget Trophy' - the Ogle SX1000 of Nicholas James was 18th.

Nice to See Gordon Spice out and about again, and get well soon Glyn Swift!
Nick hanging on to 4th but has a ten second penalty which I'm sure he'll be fuming about for jumping the start (?)

Re: Goodwood 75th Members Meeting Weslake Cup
Great day. Wet track at the start, but no rain all day. The sound of open pipes is just great, even if it does cause a bit of ringing in the ears at the end of the day. Lots of famous faces, lots of rarely seen cars, and of course I have more pictures than I know what to do with, and I've still got Sunday to snap at.
Here's just a few from the day
Daffodils
Is it a repro?
There were a couple of Metros in the Group A Demo, and rumour has it the owner of one is hoping to put together a non-turbo for the Gerry Marshall next year.
At GT
Ogle in practice. It is the car that was on the Goodwood Lawn in 2009, but has been given a bit of a make over.
Swift and Jordan line up for practice
The ground shook when the Pierpoint runners were out.
Slippery Chicane
The Host enjoys a joke
More pictures to follow in the coming weeks.

Re: Goodwood 75th Members Meeting Weslake Cup
I see Mark Blundel got the racing drivers book of excuses out as to why he (and as a consequence) Swifty jumped the start, wrong way of holding the flag .....like they haven't started every race at Goodwood like this since it reopened
Get well soon Glyn

Great pics Stu!
The Will Corry engine went bang again! What a shame for Woolmer who got smacked up the arse after a spin cos his battle with Colburn for the lead in the opening laps of the Weslake Cup was edge of the seat stuff!
