I brought this photo at Race Retro and was wondering in anyone here knows who it features and when? I know the race is at Crystal Palace and I'm guessing they are both Cooper Car Company car's with maybe John Rhodes in No.142 and maybe in 1965 - any thoughts?
Yep Crystal Palace. 1965 Anerley Trophy. Rhodes (121) won the race for small saloons whilst Warwick Banks (142) T-boned John Cannadine in the Speedwell car who was trying to avoid another collision. I think this was the race John Cooper had a set-to with Cannadine about that incident. John Terry smacked his Broadspeed into the bank at South Tower and I've got a colour shot of that together with some other John Adams' colour slides of this race to print in the MCR mag in a couple of months time.
