NOS Clubman Estate Shell
"A New Old Stock Mini Clubman Estate body shell. It has a single bolt front subframe fixing.
It was bought for a restoration project in the 1980's but unused. It has been stored in a garage since then. Some minor surface rust in places - nothing major."

It is! Third time listed in the last year.......sold twice before, then mysteriously 'unsold'.

Perhaps '1965' is the first warning sign on a 1071 project, it would have had sat around unregistered for a very long time to be an original car :?

It might be possible. Production stopped end of Aug '64? At the time you could get the new 1275. Added to delay between build, to dispatch, then to registration near Christmas. Registered 04/01/65? Maybe.

Anything is possible, I'd want to see the shell / build date / chassis number first ;) as to buy all the rest of the parts its going to need would not be cheap, plus you may have to go back through the shell as 20 years ago the way restorations were done might not be up to todays standards

Certainly possible. There was nearly a two year gap between manufacture and registration date with one of my previous Ss. Some cars were also used on circuits and registered for the road later. This looks like a straightforward 'logbook rebuild' to my eyes but then how many 1071s aren't?
