Think it might be time to shift the two Mk2 ones I have and invest in something I might actually need and use.

Maybe our Scandinavian friends on here might be able to offer a reason but interesting it's LHD given that Sweden didn't decide to switch to driving on the right hand side until the following year (1963). The switch itself taking place in 1967. It also can't have come from Cowley as all customer Coopers were assembled at Longbridge....

Swedish cars were 'always' LHD. My dad's '49 Volvo PV444 and '59 544 imported from Sweden were both LHD from new.
The non salted winter roads did wonders for cars. The '59 had never seen a welder and was still very solid when sold ca. 15 years ago.

Since this is a place of anoraks I'd like to correct one little bit: third of september 1967 is when Sweden changed to driving on the right side.dodge44 wrote:Maybe our Scandinavian friends on here might be able to offer a reason but interesting it's LHD given that Sweden didn't decide to switch to driving on the right hand side until the following year (1963). Upside down door cards, where's Rich at least it's described as a replica and there's plenty of incorrect details to show that it is, let's hope that an S V5 doesn't get nailed to it in the future

Engine bay (not talking about the 101 incorrect features) looks like its done a damn sight more than 150 miles.
Valuation was reduced due to upside down door cards apparently

I do get what you mean. Elvis was quite cool, and someone singing Elvis well is OK but someone dressed up as him with stick on sidies and shades from a fancy dress shop pretending to be him just falls so far short it's sort of a shit idea. And that's that car that is.rich@minispares.com wrote:
