mk1 tacho pods

Post by sclemow »

Hi All,

Has anyone fitted the cooper car co replica tacho pods to a standard mk1 yet?
It seems it's too big to clear the dash card and windscreen vent pipe, which I guess makes sense as the racers probably didn't have them fitted.

Cheers

I test fitted one in my blue MK1 just to make sure. It fitted in there OK.

Interesting, it's nearly an inch off in mine. I guess your blue one has the single speedo pod rather than the triple guage pod?

This pushes the tacho in line with the screen vents.

It's not a major problem. I'l just have to fabricate a mount for the tacho.

Cheers
