That Anglia is a liability.

Why don't the "powers that be" do something about it?

i think he got himself into trouble at Croft as well.....he had to tape up the front the car with yellow tape to keep it together.

Not sure if it was his fault, or he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

you would thing that its got to the point where the hscc just tell him to clear off and race his Anglia in national hot rods, where a bit of pushing, ramming and panel damage is considered 'normal'

You've got to love someone who really wants to race but if that means taking the p*ss with track limits , going for gaps that aren't there and using other driver's cars to brake with it becomes a very expensive hobby for those who's cars get hit. Not such a problem if your car is a shed?! Endaf's car had only just been rebuilt when he got hit in that footage from Oulton. HSCC don't seem to keen to clamp down on it, Godfrey's line through the chicane at Donington a couple of years ago was ..er...well he just hooned straight through it, was airborn for most of it and off track for all of it! He actually gained a postion (from Tim) in the process and bugger all was said! If they did that at Goodwood, well they wouldn't be coming back (as a good mate of mine discovered :oops: )

I think the rough tactics of some are putting of sensible chaps entering HSCC events. Entries have been down for the last few years and I'm sure Endaf and Mr Mustang, who aren't HSCC regulars, will probably spend their entry fees somewhere else in the future.

I really want a crack at HSCC racing, and my car isn't far off the rules and prep, and was always in the back of my mind when building it, ive been going to the gold cup for the last ten years to watch, but after watching on Monday, and witnessing the carnage, its put me off for good with the little budget I would have, I couldn't afford to repair it week in week out, and really wouldn't want to bugger this particular shell

Entries have been down for the last few years.

Too many events chasing too few competitors. So they let knob heads run, who put off other competitors.

Bit of a vicious circle.

to be fair to the imp crash, that was just a racing accident, the blue imp put himself on the grass after he shut the door on that Cortina and got a rub, it was just unfortunate that what happened did so, but that does happen in a packed, fast start

the incident with the yellow Anglia was the normal thing (from seen the videos) of the driver using other cars as braking areas - madness.............. but unfortunaltey the hscc has always had this - I can remember barry longs car getting absolutely trashed at cadwell years ago by a bloke in a jag and nothing was said.

this sort if incident where a single driver is causing so much damage from nothing more than red mist needs stopping

its very frustrating.

it is possible to have clean, tight racing as I'm sure the people who saw the four minis having a go right at the back for a few laps, all you have to do is know the size of your cars, trust the people around you and be willing, if needs be' just to lift and let another person gain at the expense of a place or two

at the end of the day, its meant to be fun and driving a valuable historic racing car like your in a BTCC race is just wrong - I'm sure endaffs minis is going to cost a few quid to fix, but a door and a sill tug will be nothing to what the alan mann mustang will need

that looked if it could have stood in for Christine.........

I was thinking exactly the same when I built the Hornet, I reckon HRDC is another possibility though?

Really?? Maybe I should have actually checked, I stopped looking a while back cos all I ever found were very boring programmes. Hadn't noticed the Youtube programmes either! Thanks for the tip off Stu!
