Call me cynical but this looks like a '64 850 that's had a few recent hasty addiditions to make it look like a 1071 to me...

Certainly looks that way. The brake pedal is the original non Cooper type.

I think the rear windows and screen are perspex tinted items.

A couple of comments about the car.
Paintwork by Play School. Jemima used Humpties arse to put it on.
New Newton interior and the couldn't afford a new rear window seal? (They even put the old one in upside down)
Wrong ashtray, no vinyl on the heater vent tops, ignition switch in upside down, boot handle fitted by Helmet and why has the rear valance go a huge bend in it?
Would a 1963 car have a PCV breather? I thought that was later.

A vignette in the windscreen shows it has been to Austria at least once.

At least the door cards are in the right way up.

Up to 25 large with nearly 5 days to go...... :? :?

This is the first time I have not been proud to be an Aussie, (except for that thing that happened in the cricket with NZ)
At least its in QLD, (a decade or two removed for the rest of the island). hope it stays there.
