I was really up the creek and in a state of despair recently when I had posted the FE plate I had carefully removed from the old inner wing on to Minisport who are restoring my 1962 shell.
Royal Mail appear to have lost the package and it seems unlikely I'll ever see it again.
Enter Dermott (360gts on this forum) who re-makes FE plates to as close to original as you could ever hope for. Fortunately I did have a photo of the original plate.
As it happened, when I contacted him he was just about to fly from (Canada?) over to the UK that day but he pulled out all the stops (or rather the metal punches) and made my plate before jumping on the plane and posting it to me when he arrived over here.
I am so grateful to Dermott for his superb work (the font for example is spot on) and for going the extra mile (literally).
