Hello Boys
Our french driver, Jean-Claude Gamet, told us recently that Stuart Turner lent him a car for the RAC rally (1966). Do you know something about it?

Well, he leant a car to almost everyone else on that event, including Rauno Aaltonen's sister...
but I have no record of J-C Gamet driving on the 66 RAC.

Born in 1950? Stupid web!
Jean-Claude raced for the first time in 1964.
In 66 he was fifth in the french rally championship with his Cooper S.
In 67, Alfa GTA...
But like Simon i'm not aware for the RAC rally.

Enguerrand,
Wit and quick, aren't you !!
I was as surprised as you, not too sure Gamet's infos are really reliable !
Still, Gamet met Stuart who later let him drive works Escort, and he depicts quite precisely what was his works Mini, so why not ?
Picture must be taken at the Rallye du Mistral, should indeed be 1969.
If ever someone has a colour picture of his Escort, I'd be glad to pass it to a good friend Escort fan.
