Brake and fuel pipes

Hi i am just running the brake and fuel lines on my hydro car could any one advise on the route in the engine/front bulkhead, many thanks.

What's that little black bracket on the middle of the firewall for? Never seen (or noticed) it before... (second pic, to the very right)

Jan, it's for the speedo cable. The clip goes in a hole & then a grommet goes in to stop it coming back out. Stops the cable being fried on the exhaust manifold.

Thank you! :) Is it still available? I'm having problems with the speedo cable touching the manifold...
And cable ties are not realy that neat a solution. :)

Opps! Didn't type quick enough :D

Not sure if the clip on the front subframe for the brake pipe would open up enough for the cable? May be worth a look....

Is the Somerfords one a later style one as Al's looks to have a circular mount to it or is that just the way the hole looks on the image? Whatever I need one too.

Not the best image on the Somerford site but looks similar to me. The flat section goes in the hole in the bulkhead & the round section grips the cable. The rubber grommet stops the clip being pulled back out of the hole.
