£30K once you've finished it! Mega rare car though, and when compared to £130K for the Longman car, maybe a snip?? There was a discussion about this on the old MCR forum and I think the conclusion was that it was the Antelope car on the line at Longbridge pictured here :

i think the general prices of minis now is obscene,
well beyond the reach of the normal enthusiast, great for us that already own them, but id like to do another project, but realistically, buying an early project is too much money for me to want to part with.

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
That's very subjective, I'd actually say some Minis are still a very affordable classic car BUT you can't really expect the rarer desirable models to come cheap. 'Fixer uppers' are not £250 anymore it's true but then neither are they lying around all over the place anymore either. Oh for the days when we used to pull nice clean Mk1s off the top off scrap piles for £50!mini_surfari wrote:i think the general prices of minis now is obscene,

Looks like a logbook rebuild as the 1969 to very early 1970 clubmans had the bonnet hinges that had screws fixing vertically into the bonnet and not horozontal studs and nuts as per 1970 on hinges. The inner wing looks like it has the large grommet hole in it, and the doors are from a late 80's onward mini as they have the fixing for the plastic door mirrors. Engine also wrong as incorrect oil filter housing, and timing chain cover is for one with chain tensioner. For £20k there are too many faults.... Should of got rid of those speaker holes on the parcel shelf......mab01uk wrote:"OCT 1969 MORRIS MINI 1275 GT ANTELOPE HYDRO 1 OF ONLY 3 IN EXISTANCE"
£19,995

Nice shell, but reckon a realistic price would be nearer £7.5k

Not Mini nor even car related, but an eye brow raiser all the same;-
Dry Bulk Panamax Ship 75000T $12 000 000.00 AUD Buy It Now or Make an Offer
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252326132604 ... EBIDX%3AIT
it would be worth more than that as scrap (around $15M) - assuming you could find a yard big and wealthy enough to take it!

I reckon the hole in the rear bulkhead is too large, as well as the holes in the front parcel shelf. Looks like a 72 ish or later shell to me?

The same goes for me. Got things mixed up. It's the early Mk2's that can have the small hole in the bulkhead

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
The bonnet may have been converted, my friend owns one of the 3 antelope 69 cars and his has the aforementioned bonnet, however it needed replacing when it had a light restoration, and the company only had one bonnet (they are pretty rare), and he could only have it if they could have his old one.
The door shape is also slightly different to later cars.
The price is ridiculous considering its not complete.

If it is a '69 why was it first registered in March 1970? No mention of a heritage certificate to claim a build date and the claim that it could be the car in the Longbridge picture is stretching it a bit.

Heh. For Tupers. Zoom in and take a close look at the rear glass in the 5th photo.

I'm not surprised they have poor credit scores when they realise they've brought a car for 3 times what it is worth. We specialize in people with poor credit scores who are looking to get back on track
