Interesting starter button...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morris-Mini-1 ... 6016.l4276

....a few things don't seem right about it for it to be a 1960 car though. Albeit an Australian import.

Assembly didn't start here until January 1961 (they went on sale in late March). I guess technically the first few were assembled from 1960 CKD kits, but there's not really such a thing as a 1960 Australian Mini. The starter button looks like a bit of local ingenuity.

I don't think that one is all that early in 1961, its engine number and body numbers seem a bit high and I think the first ones still had the early style seats. The list I've seen would suggest that it was delivered 10/61.

Never did it for me either. The Jem was much better looking. Not great but much better than the Mini Marcos.

Would be useful to know the size! Not that I would be seen dead in it.
