Doesn't look like old Avonbar non-roller rockers -they were ribbed and had a wide pad onto the valve.
But I must say, they look well made - the forging looks strong and clean, and without the need of ribs. Very impressive. The spacing to get on top of valves centrally with spacers needs setting up though, it looks.
I think Avonbar sold different looking types over the years. Maybe I am getting confused with an early set up that looked like standard rockers but had offset bushes in them to change the ratio.
Here's a found photo of an Avonbar set with custom forged rockers, and looks exactly like above but stamped Avonbar not AAL,
That's proof enough for me guys. Can't understand why the avonbar lettering is not on the opposite face though.
One of lifes little mysteries sent to keep us confused.
Thanks for the replies gents.
Mine don't say Avonbar on them either. the other casting marks indicate which ones they are i.e. which side of the rocker post they go (well I seem to remember when I fitted mine I eventually worked this out, they are in my Bro's garage somewhere, not seen them for years)
