Rosepetals...!

Post by UWD 672G »

I wonder if anyone can help... I was asked today by someone interested in my Mk2 Cooper where he could source some Rosepetal alloys, I mentioned that someone on here had ordered some or had a new batch made a short while ago but couldn't remember the precise details (obviously it was on the old forum, hence me being so vague!).... could someone please supply me with the info so I can pass it on?

Thanks in advance ;)

Cheers Mark! I'd be tempted to go for a set myself if I hadn't just bought a set of D1s, plus I need to refurbish my Minilites, and MOT the car

Aplogies for hi-jacking the thread, but will the MS Rosepetals with 165 x 10s tyres on fit on the rear of a Mini with Coil springs. (Gaz offset type).? Oh, and genuine Super Minifins.

Cheers, Dai.

Don't know if they will fit on coil springs, I have only used them on conventionally sprung cars.

The Vortz ones will definitely not, so I guess Minispares version will not either.

If you are using them without the spacers that are supplied with them they will foul on the brake calliper, this is a consequence of making them fit the homologated track dimension used by the FIA.

A couple of people bolted them straight on without the spacer & they bound up. This is why the MS Rosepetals are supplied with a spacer & 2 sets of nuts, one for each application.

I must point out that Vortz wheels do exactly the same.

Iam starting to wonder now if I upgrade from the S caliper to say minispaes or minisport alloy four pot ones, how much clearance I am going to have? Ight have to speak nice to a friend and try on his before i commit to purchasing.

there is far more room around the mini spares alloy calipers with a rose petal than with a normal cast iron cooper s caliper.

its not an issue at all
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares
