"HRN Heritage Automobiles is presenting for sale this 1963 Austin MINI Cooper, 997, ex Tommy Sopwith BTCC Race Car Driver with OSELLI period tuned engine"
This car was discussed at length on the old MCR forum , the 'Tom Sopwith' that appears on the buff logbook for this car isn't THE Tommy Sopwith, son of the aircraft aviation pioneer and early saloon car racer. I know because I asked Sopwith himself!

I would not give them £5k for that 997cc Cooper. How on earth do they think it is worth £35k
Are both the red and the white Cooper's above listed at the 'well I've got them for sale (insert name of wife / girlfriend / partner here) but no one seems to want them' price

Funny old world, no comments from MCR members as this car is advertised by one of their long standing head buck cats

Looks like someone may well get their pants pulled down and their arse well and truly slapped with that car then.
Didn't think that lot would hang around for long, how often do you find a decent complete set of red/grey/gold interior? It all came out of a 998 Cooper that was converted to a track car, d0 you remember it at Goodwood in the carpark in 2009 Mark/Rich? I wanted to buy it before I built the Hornet but it was pretty steep (£15K I think, seemed alot back then). Anyway, it was then stripped (lawd knows why), and repainted Fiesta Yellow. It was then auctioned (can't remember where, Silverstone or Goodwood maybe) for about £30K and then rebuilt into an App K racer. It appeared at the Brands HRDC A series Challenge race last week. Phew, why the f*ck did I need to tell you all that?
That Mk1 Cooper the London dealer was selling that NEVER belonged to Tommy Sopwith seems to have sold. Hope someone didn't get their fingers burnt with that.
bet you can't wait to sniff that brocade then Mark?
