Original twin tank car Boot Board value
Was wondering what one would expect to pay for an original Cooper S boot board?, for a twin tank car. Thanks, Jeff

Re: Original twin tank car Boot Board value
Depends on the colour but a mate bought one at Bulee last year in red for £50 which was pretty cheap as they're hard to come by in decent condition, usually being covered in sh*te, fag burns etc.I doubt you'd pick one up for that now.

Re: Original twin tank car Boot Board value
All Cooper trim whatever it is can be very hard to find nowadays. A boot board is usually really messed up so I would say that one in decent condition would be worth at least £100 nowadays. But as with all this stuff, its all only worth what someone else will pay for it.

I sold 2 last year for £50 each in fairly typical scruffy condition. Only have single tank ones left now.

Re: Original twin tank car Boot Board value
Wondering if a good trim man could cut a single tank boot board to make a nice twin tank board just a thought as I can get one of those easily. It's also red. What does anyone think? good or bad for certain I know its not right.

I suspect that single tank boot boards aren't that easy to get hold of either.

It depends on the age of the car - originally red until around December 1965 then grey veltone. What colour bootboard is for an old english white cooper

Re: Original twin tank car Boot Board value
I might have a crack at cutting up some of my single ones to make twin types. But I need £40 for a std single one.

Or you could do what the dealerships did (seen this on a couple of cars) when they fitted RH tanks and that's just saw the buggers straight off !

mines an old English white 1967, so that'll be a grey one then, is that correct?

Re: Original twin tank car Boot Board value
We've got a Mk1 in that we are looking for a single tank boot board for, but Newton Commercial only seem to list a twin tank board, anyone had a single tank one from them?
Also, I've found the diagram (on the old forum) for the boot board rear brackets, but anyone have guidance on where the "shoes" should be on the front edge?
(Yes, it's not an original Cooper, but the owner wants the boot board to keep things neat )

Here is a twin one we cut down from a single one, and a powder blue single one standing behind it.

Diagram for boot board rear brackets
Following that last thread I could do with the diagram showing boot board rear brackets. Can anyone direct me to this please? Had to let in boot hinge panel amongst others and want to get this spot on. It is for a single board(yes I have an original one too- woo hoo!)

This might be better, I've welded the bits back together and redone the dimensions. This is a single tank car. Can't help with the hole positions on the boot floor.......... because there wasn't a boot floor!
