Bloody hell
I just bought some hydro frames and bags and in one of the boxes of bits there was one of these, along with the carb. Seller was converting the mini to Toyota power and it was surplus.
I got it for nowt. I wasn't sure what to do with it because I have H4's..... However, every day is a school day.

I think it is safe to say that £200 for an Oselli Torquemaster is somewhat a "Optimistic" price.

It's US$200, which is approx £140 at the moment..mk1 wrote:I think it is safe to say that £200 for an Oselli Torquemaster is somewhat a "Optimistic" price.

It'd be a giggle to put that on an MPI and apply for the logbook, "well they were reshelled all the time these cars".

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Rich, the front end isn't correct for a 63 1071...if it had an oil cooler it would be the vertical item...it has the slanted stiffener bit as fitted to later cars with the front oil cooler.
It is a nice looking car...wish we could see more pictures!
For this money I would want a correct car. Makes you wonder what else isn't true blue...or should I say red!

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
If I spent that kind of money I'd want the original shell aswell (that one is described as such), that's just my personal take, but it certainly can't be expected with early Ss, so very few have their original shells let alone front panels! If it had an oil cooler in the 60s it most likely would be an aftermarket horizontal one from all the contemporary shots I've ever seen.360gts wrote:Rich, the front end isn't correct for a 63 1071...if it had an oil cooler it would be the vertical item...it has the slanted stiffener bit as fitted to later cars with the front oil cooler.
