That may not be long as the business is up for sale, unless it is as overpriced as his stock

Almost three years ago to the day I was at this location, it reminded me of a lot antique shops back home,
more museum than shop, still it was cool to see so many minis in one place for sale/viewing.

Interesting to compare the photo you posted with the press cutting I have previously posted (which was retrieved from some of the boxes of old Mini info I have stored in my loft from years ago). The front bumper seems to match but looks like it is a matt or satin black finish rather than chrome?

The press cutting/photo from the Daily Express in December 1984 showing a very upset Britt Ekland and a Mini Cooper given to her by her late husband Peter Sellers. The Mini is partly stripped on the back of a tow truck having been stolen then recovered in London. I remember at the time wishing I could locate & purchase the salvage but unfortunately never did follow it up as it appeared in the paper around the same time my father died. (He had the Express delivered every day).

Daily Express Monday December 31 1984
EXPRESS PICTURE EXCLUSIVE
Britt's dream ends as a wreck
by John McCormick. Picture: Barry Gomer
Small B&W picture of Peter Sellers, caption: He sold the car.
Large (1/2 page) B&W picture of Britt Ekland actually sitting on the front of the stripped Mini which is sitting on the road vandalised with no wheels, no bonnet, no grille, dark paintwork looks damaged with light patchwork areas, front bumper with overiders is present, visible headlamp shell is the rectangular style, No.Plate backing plate is still fitted but no Reg plate unfortunately. Leather steering wheel & probably a sunroof can also be seen.
The Article reads:-
Forlorn and sad film star Britt Ekland was reunited yesterday with her "dream car" - now a complete wreck.
She burst into tears when she found the car, stolen before Christmas from outside her Chelsea home.
Engine, battery, doors, windows, headlamps and even numberplates were missing when it was found at Ealing, West London.
"They have done everything they could to it. The only way I could recognise what remained of my car was the little black aerial which I painted myself", said Britt.
"I was heartbroken when I first saw it. There was hardly anything left. It's like a sardine tin now."
A shocked vehicle recovery expert who saw the car also said: "This was not the work of professionals. It was sheer vandalism."
The 20 year-old Mini-Cooper had been treasured by Britt, ever since she bought it from her former husband, the late Peter Sellers.
She said the custom-built Mini was like a Rolls inside, with leather seats and dashboard.
Britt, who married 23 year-old rock singer Slim Jim McDonnel earlier this year, said: "We had been looking forward to spending our first Christmas and New Year as husband and wife in London. Now it has been soured.
"That little car was one of my prized possessions. It has a lot of fine memories."

I remember J822HPB the superb W&P demonstrator Margrave Mini was often parked in and around the Epsom workshop on show for potential coachbuilt Mini buyers. This W&P Margrave was driven by Mike Bush and my late brother Steve Bell on the 1993 Italian Job and was recently featured in the MCR Cooperworld magazine awaiting to be recommissioned.

'slighty stained interior'

The same year Sally Farmiloe gave a “Kiss and Tell” interview to the News of the World in which she described how the pair had once slipped away from a Tory fundraising ball at the Dorchester Hotel to an underground NCP car park in Audley Square. “We began kissing passionately and at first we tried to make love in the front seat of his Mini,” she recalled, “but it was very cramped and awkward so we got out.

I was wearing this fantastic white silk gown, one of my favourites, and he looked very dashing in his dinner suit. I’m ashamed to say we made love on the floor of this dratted car park. My skirt was hitched up around my waist. Little did I know it, but I got engine oil all over the bum and back of it.

Afterwards I went straight back into the Dorchester looking immaculate apart from the streaks of engine oil down my back which I knew nothing about. There I was parading around and nobody said a word to my face. It was only when I got home that I realised the dress was ruined. Jeffrey was kind enough to replace it with a stunning gown that cost almost £1,000.”

Its usually when a sound deadening pad has half pulled away leaving a little pocket of water to eat away at the panel :(

Judging by the rear subframe it was obviously a bit of a pain to uproot it from the undergrowth.

So what is a dash, some badges and a grille worth? Not £3500.
