Seized Brakes.

Post by medwaybeat »

I asked the question on the old forum on how to free up seized brakes.
In the end I didn’t have to resort to cracking the drums.
I lot of bashing with a bar thru the wheels and a big lump hammer freed off the fronts.
The rears wouldn’t have any of it.
The recovery man pulled it out the garage and one rear came free. The car was then stored for a couple of days and came back to our new house with all it’s tyres inflated and all wheels free.

Unfortunately. The floor didn’t repair itself and is still in need of much welding.

Thanks to Surf, Ox, Ronnie and Iain for advice.

Glad it made it home OK.

It sounds like you have an excellent team of Magic Pixies working for you, fancy sending them up in my direction for a while :-)
