1071 copper heater pipe
Anyone have a picture of the copper heater pipe that was fitted on the 1071's...Wish I'd taken a picture before I dismantled the car!

There are some very odd answers on this thread.
Imhave had a look through my photos & I can't find one of the offending area I am afraid.

Re: 1071 copper heater pipe
why did the 1071 have a cooper heater pipe?
when I made one for my 1275s I managed to get the correct 1/2 pipe from a Air conditioning supplyer as the pipes are made for US market. still found it difficult to bend it as tight as the factorys ones I have got off morris minors etc

Re: 1071 copper heater pipe
Nick...looks like you had a few attempts to get the bends correct. I assume that is a competition unit that doesn't have a heater installed
The 1100 used a similar pipe...in fact...you could have used one of those...just have to heat up the brazing on the two brackets and remove them. It is 3/8 ID...same as was used on the 1071.
Thanks for posting the picture...nice to see member sharing info. with each other.
Gareth, your car looks great...nice job...well done and thank you for sharing that picture.

Re: 1071 copper heater pipe
Not all the 1071s had the pipe fitted. In a number of cases it was just a length of tubber hose from one end to the other

Here is the B & W photo from Mark's Arch.
The A/C pipe is hard to bend unless use a exhaust forming machine!

Re: 1071 copper heater pipe
I thought they changed from the copper pipe to a full length rubber hose around the time when they introduced PCV on the 1071???
