We were marshalling last night on the Bath Festival Rally and on the way to signing on we saw the signs for a flea market at Sheppton Mallett and as I have found a Works fuel bag here before thought i'd have a look a round today sadly no fuel bag for a tenner this time but as I was leaving I spotted a 1967 Programme from December 1967 I casually ask how much the stall holder said just take it happy days .I was reading the entrants list and it makes for interesting reading Clive Trickey in an 850 ,Rupert Jones 850,Richard Lloyd Spitfire ,Richard Longman as a reserve driver 1275 S ,Gerry Marshall Viva ,Dave Brodie Anglia and Ken Costello in an S what a line up of top tin top drivers and the programme cost only 2s 6d now those were the days

my dad was probably there…….. he apparently went to most mini 7 club events prior to my arrival in july 1969….. not to mention GPs…..

and here is his old grille badge fitted to my mini…...

Other names of note, Ken Appleby, Barry Hawkins, Jack Davies (who's actual car was up for sale last year, the family have now decided to keep it) and Wilf Ashman who may have been in the ex Trickett Minisprint racer?
