Hi All
Couple of questions to help with my rebuild (I have posted a couple of pics of my 1965 Elf in the project thread)
Were is the boot handle originally from ?
Has any one fitted Twin Tanks? I have read that you can turn the left hand tank and fit to the right hand side?
I am beginning to wonder that I should have looked at this earlier with a tuned 1275 engine and a 5 1/2 gallon tank what sort of mileage will I be able to cover without a fuel stop. Petrol station are not as common as they used to be!!!
The font side grills by the side lights, is there a gasket underneath were the grill meets the body?
Thanks

Re: Elf/Hornet Questions
Boot handle, I believe is same as MGB GT.
Standard Mini R/H Tank fits except the filler neck is at an angle - that's what's fitted to mine. You could cut the neck and re-align if you want. Could also fit 7.5 gallon tank in place of the 5.5 gallon.
No gaskets between grills and body but you could fit if you wanted. There is a gasket to protect the back of the sidelight unit from debris.
