Looks like early Cooper and S levers make more money than the straight ones from a 59 nowadays

What are the seats out of does anyone know?

Interesting that he also had the cold air vents long before they were introduced. I wonder why it took so long for them to come in?

Am I the only one who thought this was on the inexpensive side?

Pity the original registration reg number appears to have gone, though.

Well spotted but if it is a 1962 that registration wouldn't have been original either! ("B" suffix = 1964).

How does this differ from a regular remote shifter?Toby wrote:Looks like early Cooper and S levers make more money than the straight ones from a 59 nowadays

its not rubber bushed, its a solid metal one
you can make one from a magic wand lever if you are desperate

Later gear sticks had the anti rattle weight (the cylindrical budge at the base of the later gear stick) and as such I believe that the domed rubber gaiter that was another feature of the earlier coopers won't fit over it.
Important if you want the interior of your 1070 to look right!

I paid £5 for the last one of those early levers I got as a spare, and it came with the remote!
No one wanted it, it's wasn't chrome so it wasn't for a Cooper

The early ones that go with the small dome rubber gaiter are black, the later ones are chrome, it was (is) just another one those Cooper / S myths (like 'can't be a Cooper S it's only got one fuel tank ect )minimans wrote:Were all the cooper ones chrome? Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
maybe we should start a proper thread on this?!
The other area to consider (as well as the mutants) is the Supers which I believe had black sticks to start with, then went over to chrome... Where's garry (FCV.66) when you need him!
I guess Toby's chrome non anti rattle stick would fall into the transition period?
