Any suggestions most welcome, on how to best clean the roof lining which has been removed from my MK1 Mini.
Thanks Dave.

Re: Cleaning roof lining
Are you just trying to tidy it up or do you have stains to deal with? Are you trying to get rid of the factory installed glue stains?
If you are just trying to remove grime from years of use, careful cleaning with any household cleaner or automotive vinyl cleaner will work. If you are trying to get rid of the glue stains, they are not going to wash out. They can be "covered" by spraying the entire liner with vinyl dye/paint. I have had very good results over here (in the U.S.) using vinyl dye from SEM.

Re: Cleaning roof lining
HI
recommend 'sugar soap', don't scrub or the lining is prone to stretch.
Apply sugar soap, rub in gently with your fingers, wait 10 minutes or so, then wipe off and repeat... doing exactly this at the momnet

Re: Cleaning roof lining
Not sure if would work on headlining, but on my grey fleck seats I just use a steam cleaner and wiped with microfibre cloths, it got all the grime out without use of any harsh chemicals,
