Coil Spring Clutch nightmare

Attached a photo of the clutch arm.

Do you think the wear / possible bend would be enough to cause the issue?

It's definitely worn and will cause some clearance issues. Not sure about the angle. If it was mine I would weld and reprofile the ball.

If the hole in the plunger is also ridged, it will exacerbate the problem further.

Worn and Bent - bonus!

Replace the plunger & all the pins too.

No....

and from memory I recall occassionally putting a thin section shim washer under the 'press on' type release bearing to reset the clutch slave piston location.
