KAD CNC Combustion Chamber Machining for A Series 5 ports
Interesting stuff
"KAD offer a CNC combustion chamb...er machining service. This results in a beautiful and even chamber shape straight from the machine."
"On a 12G940 head this process costs £85 + VAT, but can be priced up on a one off basis for different heads"

Wonder if the bloke that learnt his trade at Smiths Newmark, New Addington, Croydon is still involved there. I remember him, he looked like a young mod, but knew his stuff. Mods,

The problem with that is that a good combustion chamber shape is about 20% of a good head. All the reall important stuff is in the ports NOT the chamber.
All I can see this doing in the long run is creating masses of "KAD" heads on ebay all of which have a Carlos Fandango combustion chamber & standard (or at least near standard) ports.

Those machines are absolutely awesome!!
If KAD are offering something like that for £85 I would be using them like a flash!

I used to use a 3 dimension driller / router in a former life when I made PCBs. That little driller / router in Ronnies link above is (all be it small) exceptional value for money. . . . . If it works OK.
Oh, the jobs I could do with that!!!
