I'm going to try something here. If way off base say so. I saw this morning a kit offered with what appears to be most of a split Weber kit. I'm sure there are many of us who bought a split set up from Longman and spoke on the phone with him in the 70s. I'd think you can buy the parts and build a kit from scratch. What would be the value of a freshly built kit from bits new. What is the value of the kit offered else where on this board since no price given. What if any value the kit built in Longman's shop and ready to plug and play have over the other options we have. Don't know where to find the air horns so discount them , or not? I guess you have to figure a cost to complete the well used kit. Steve (CTR)

570 for a pair of 45's, say £200 for all the rest of the clart, plus a bit for unexpected eventualities.

I would say a brand new set could be done for about £800

360gts. look at your last 2 photos. At the bottom of the carb, the o rings have crushed, but the is little clearance on the coiled spring washer. At the top, there looks to be no clearance at all between the coils.

So, these have been sitting in storage since 1977....what does it matter..>I really don't see your point!!!
The O rings have probably shrunk ...yes,
The set is not for sale..I posted the pictures to help with the question of the size of the manifold and another member wanted more pictures as he was missing parts!

The thread was about the size of the manifold...some members wanted to know this...we accomplished what the those members wanted. That is the whole point of this forum..sharing knowledge/experience and opinions...

One of the quoted advantages in the Longman catalogue is the short intake length. To put sizes in perspective, the large trumpets are 4.7" long.
