Post by Vegard »

Lot's of IDing here now. :)
I've never noticed this difference before.
What is the difference? One cable, twin cable? ADO16?

Top one is for twin cable. Bottom one is for single. More leverage.

I will need to do some checking of hand brake parts at the shop. I was called on to completely rebuild the rear arms and brakes for a 59/60. I had to file fit the rear cyls in order to get the washer and snap ring in place. Then I found the hand brake linkage incorrect and the shoes would not lie flat against the backing plate. Inspection of the parts you show made it clear at some time the wrong linkage was installed. I changed them out and everything was fine. Thanks now I better understand what happened. Steve (CTR)

PS I keep spare outer bushing and made a special alignment guide for my reamer for doing welded arms.

The levers got more length over the years

Latest ones have best leverage (started early 90's)
