Martin thanks for posting that great action. You see clearly in this footage the Mini in the hands of a good driver like Lance Foster takes a good car to beat it in wet conditions :D

Great driving by Lance Foster..takes me back to watching Rally x at Lydden hill on the box..Saturday afternoons on ATV in the late 1960,s.. just about the most entertaining form of watching minis race I reckon .. just a pity they don't talk about the cc, bhp and tech attributes of the various cars as Murray and co did in the old days as the laps went by !!... foxy52

Some incar footage..... 8-)

Quotes from Lance Foster:-
"Taken during practice for round 3 of the British rallycross championship from inside our retro rallycross mini at knock hill 2014. During this video you can see how much you have to left foot brake one of these cars just to try and keep it on the circuit. The flat out in top gear part of the circuit always makes me wince when i watch the in car stuff .."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txsi7l9iPAk

"In car footage of the retro rallycross final from lydden hill august 2013. decent start but a number of issues in the race, bit fraught at times but thats rallycross..Ray morgan has posted the same race from his camera so ya can see a different view of the incident."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9yQ5u3CXpE

"In car footage from our 8 port mini at Lydden Hill March 2014 this is the final of the weekend the Escort is driven by Ray Morgan and is a BDA, the 6R4 is driven by Rob Gibson. The Mini is built and prepared by green and white mini spares and is driven by Lance Foster.

'Green and White Mini Spares' built engines are mentioned for some of the other Mini's:-
http://www.retrorallycross.com/retro-ra ... ian-biagi/
http://www.retrorallycross.com/retro-ra ... art-bowes/

Several of these Retro Rallycross Mini's are described as being 'semi spaceframed'......does anyone know how this is defined, it maybe why you see standard subframes in the photos? :?:

Green and Whites are about 15 miles from me, I have visited them on a few occasions for a few jobs and parts. They have quite a few special bits and pieces in their workshop which you just spot lying around. They don't do the internet so you won't find them easily, but most up here in the North East go to them for work and advice.

Here's the engine

The brakes are pretty good on the car too!! Brake testing during some display laps at the 2013 Castle Coomb Rally Day
