Speedwell/Downton.
Does anyone know wether Speedwell would of experimented by using a Downton tuned setup with one of there own camshaft's or vice-ver'sa,during the late 1960's early 70's ?

Anything is possible.
A case of checking out the competition.
But as different tuning companies "Tuning Philosophies" are often very different, and that every tuner is convinced that their way of doing things is the best, somehow I doubt it would have happened often.
BTW, Downton rarely used any cam profiles that weren't standard BMC / Comps Dept grinds.
