Tony Fall's 'S' for sale circa 1965!

Post by coopertim »

After receiving two editions of the Airedale and Pennine Motor Club in the post today thanks to SMOKE GREY, I read the following article in the May 1965 copy
Tony Fall offers for sale his highly successful 1964 - 65 Rally Car. First Reg. June 1964, still under manufacturers warranty. This car has just had a brand new gearbox fitted which is still under warranty for another year. Also new crank, pistons, rings, valves and guides, diaphragm clutch. The whole unit has still to be run in. This car comprises strengthened subframes, all lines inside the car, twin tanks, rev counter and full instrumentation, iodine Cibie type 22 headlamps, full length sump guard, all new tyres fitted. New 4.5 wide rim wheels, laminated screen, seat belts, 2 spot spot lamps, 2 stud fixing rad. grill. Large output dynamo and voltage box, dropped steering column and seat extensions, modified screen washers, competition shock absorbers.
The whole car is as perfect as it ever has been. Offered at this ridiculous price of £695-0-0
Ps - it is a 1293 Cooper 'S'

I bloody wish!!

Very nice shot! Looks like it was an Appleyards car as it has the same style of silver on black number plate that AKY has!
