Not mini related but one of my fave trucks

I have a print of this on my office wall and there are often comments from customers on it's unusualness

Apparently in it's day it was the fast transporter in the world, by a country mile, traveled across the continents at over 100mph

It used to get just as much attention at races as the cars did

Scrapped in 67, but has since been build again by Mercedes from archive photographs

Original truck

Yes that looks like a CMC 1/18th scale model to me.

The original was powered by a 300SL engine and the truck was built on an extended 300S chassis. Top speed was between 160 and 170 km/h.

Mercedes built a recreation in 1993, which is seen occasionally at prestigious events.

Now a bit more down to earth, I spotted this Thames 15 CWT at the Thirlestane Car Show on Sunday.

Glad you said this as its down the road for me and belongs to one of our customers. Had a look and it's basically salvageable and straight but presents the usual money pit and isn't a guaranteed result on getting your money back after its done should divorce approach as has been proved by others bar one

It needs both screens as well as well some of the basics. Will post some pics of the race stickers inside at some stage. There is some from the 1000 lakes but most of the stickers relate to 1981-2

Come on boys.... We all know we look because we don't really care about mileage or getting our money back.... But I really do value my marriage and Rich is right!

Tim, you'd only need to replace one screen if you were putting doors on the back.... ;-)
