These photos of a Metro that once belonged to singer Lynsey DePaul has been described as a Tickford Turbo with an Auto box....and was posted on 'The Mini Forum' (TMF). The car was broken up 15 years ago due to rust.....but interior seems more upmarket than other Tickford Metros featured in links below, bodykit is different and the dash arranhement has a distinct hint of Wood & Pickett Mini dash styling about it....so was this actually a Wood & Pickett Metro?
Note also the varnished wood roof bars!!

The roof had very strange roof bars on which looked like they were made from a heavily varnished hard wood (only just visible in the pic) and it had a horrid body kit on it. From what I remember he kept everything from the interior (still waiting for him to put it in a Mini), but sold the body kit. The wheels were stolen from his boss's work unit. Don't know if he kept anything from the engine bay or not, but the car was beyond saving. There was daylight visible in several places in the floor and the heelboard was non-existent. Shame really with hindsight, but at the time it was not financially viable and nobody wanted to buy it.
The spec was massive for a 1981 small hatchback - electric heated seats, thick Wilton carpet and mats, everything trimmed in leather and there were numerous little additions here and there which stood over and above the standard Metro such as the fully trimmed steering column, custom dashboard, electric sunroof, massive (old) speakers in the doors, electric windows and wood cappings everywhere. It was quite an odd thing really.

I was very much in love with here, still have some singles and Lp's from her 
I'm not a Capri nut just worked a Tickfords in the 90's. I never saw any of the Metros whilst I was there but plenty of other oddball stuff. Was a great place too work tho.
