Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Many people think the Vortz cars were the way Rover should have made the Rover Cooper, and I agree, but to be fair lots of people built their own 'Mini Coopers' from cheapo 1970s Minis just by slotting a 1300GT engine in, a set of discs and sticking a white roof on in the 80s, I certainly did one! I doubt it'd be worth anything now though!111Robin wrote:Flipping 'eck, that sold on EBay for only £5600 in August, now £12500!!!!!!!. Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
I really can't see the fascination that some people have with these cars.
They are, as far as I am concerned just another Cooper-alike. One of many that were made between the end of MK3 production & the beginning of Rover Cooper production. OK, they were nicely done, but they are just another MK3 with a 1300 engine & a slack handful of tuning bits fitted.
As Pete says, we have all been there & done our own versions.

Must be the third or fourth time they've been on eBay. Wonder why they're not selling

Not seeming to be funny but if you had two nos Restalls in the boxes, and you were trying to sell them don't you think you'd take some more and better pictures?! Just looks abit odd to me.

Mmm yes. I do. You'd have to spray it (Tartan Red maybe?) and fit the wood trims.......and a door I suppose?Tupers wrote:Does anyone else think this would look great on the wall of a sitting room?

Saw those pictures on TMF a good few years ago, looks like the same seller, so perhaps they tucked them away
