heavy wall oil pressure line hose.

Post by CooperTune »

Rebuilding an engine the O/P line was not detached and the boy bent the line pulling the unit. As luck will have it the tube (1/8 steel) was rusty in the area of the bend. Bending it back it broke right in the corner. I won't use plastic and I'm sure it is fine for some jobs. I have 1/8 copper but for this job it would be to soft to push hose over. I located 1/8 SS tube and have made up the hard pipe using compression fittings as OE. I now would like to replace the thick wall 1/8 bore hose. I was able to grind the screw head off and save the clamps. Is there a part number or source? I have been looking around and will keep looking. Thanks Steve (CTR)

Your side of the pond too. Says hose is red on the website but in my experience it comes in black with a black cotton braided outer.

Steve, I have a few hoses left in black . Same size as mini manias but the OD is smaller than the early hose you are trying to replace .
That original thick wall hose is very tough to find :(
I found one on EBay a few years ago and had to " PAY" $$$ for it ! they are rare!

Thanks for the reply, I will keep looking, not worried about color or size just want to connect a leak free line. I had a blue silicone
material but have used it up, can't recall where I got it. Steve (CTR)
