Not very Mk1 related but looks a great idea, especially if it was put together with a good dogbox. Amazes me that a kit like this isn't easily available considering how many years the Mini has been developedin racing. Here's the link...

That's cheating! Using a digital probe to measure the case!! It too me the better part of a day and I though I was cheating using a DRO.
Nice bit of Kit, but Cable Operated, just like the early Maxi 1500's were.
Seems to work well.
Thanks for sharing.
There was a build on another forum recently, but done the 'old fashioned way';-

I remember tearing down a Sadev unit not too long ago and considering the huuUUge costs of servicing them, they are extremely basic. 90% of the hard works seems already done what with such good dog engagement sets available for the Mini.

I was just going to post that a friend of mine had designed a sequential A series gear box as a college project when I clicked on the youtube link and lo and behold it was Jason's project

Re: Sequential A seires gearbox...
See my last comment in SU thread. What is the point of fitting this to a Mini in anything less than a dog box. It's like fitting a quick shift. The box is so old and slow that you have to wait on the box regards less how quick you move the lever. Why not put the effort, thought and money into something that might actually be an advantage?

Yes, there is NO way such a conversion should be fitted to any syncro type box. Hence the reason I mentioned that I'm surprised a conversion doesn't exist considering the gear kits available.
