Looks like an early Wood and Pickett rather than a Radford...

Yep you can just about see the W&P style V stitched on the door trim. Seller says it's now dismantled and thinks it's a Cooper. Mega rare is a Mk1 W&P as Nev says a few pages back, can't think of another one (discounting the Merc lamp hatch back replica fake thing)

Those wheels are interesting!
I look forward to seeing what they go for, the machining will undoubtedly cost quite a bit to sort out on such a small batch.
Personally I doubt they will even make £75 / wheel.
Someone has also already asked "whats wrong with them" & I trend to agree.
And finally, even if they are "Original Vortz Castings" is the finished article a "Genuine Vortz Wheel" ? I suspect not.

The seller of the Vortz wheels is complying with Nick's wishes and letting the auction run.

Yes made enquiries as to a price but the auction will run. Bit of a gamble sometimes!

So are they being sold on behalf of nick ? . The add doesn't seem to mention there suitability for machining so I'm a bit suspicious that these are nicks cast offs .... Pete I purchased a set of 5 over the weekend but not from a eBay add . From a mcr add . May or may not be the same wheels . ...in mint condition , very happy with them ..... Yes they're one and the same wheels Ken. They looked mint, if you want to sell them on I'll give you an easy tenner mark up?
The Ebay castings were not finished due to the close down of the business is the story I have been given.

The Innocenti is an Authi and the Amarillo Bronce car looks suspiciously like an uber rare Authi 1275GTRadford and Innocenti languishing

Nick,
No matter who buys this Logbook and whatever they build, what history will their copy have? I'm old generation and would spot a fake a mile away. So would you so who is fooling who? Have we not seen it all?

That is very nice to have if you've got the original car but I suspect someone might get well caught out with that.
The car was for sale on ebay in October 2004 - shortly after it was registered, so you would think that the RF60 would have been required to get the plate back.

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Nothing surprises me anymore, especially when it comes to Mk1 Ss. If someone bids high on that and thinks they're gonna end up with an S logbook out of it without simply running it through the DVLA computer first then they're being somewhat foolish! (polite version). Having said that a pal of mine did exactly that on a 1071 RF60 a while back and I pointed out to him that the car was on the system and had an export marker on it! Needless to say he was a tad upset!
I also remember the seller of the Peter Harrison Radford trying to keep hold of the RF60 for that when it sold at auction for big money in 2013. That was until the buyer (with some assistance!!) pointed out to him that it was pictured in the auction blurb and now belonged to the buyer. Relauctantly the slippery seller handed it over! Needless to say though that these buff logbooks are crucial when applying for a V5C and I can't imagine anyone bidding strong for one on Ebay wants it for 'memorabilia' purposes ! Certain £100K works Minis have started life from nothing more!
