74 was certainly the first time Lombard were the main named sponsor, following the Sun and the Daily Mirror, although Lombank had been a "hidden" sponsor for many years.

Just a picture I took in 1999 in the UK from 7444 JL on a meeting

I think his name is/was Ronnie ? A wel known driver.

Rather then answering any questions/observations raised by contributors about my car's history in a piece meal manner here, may I say that a detailed article on my car is being written by a third party and hopefully will shortly appear in CooperWorld. I will see if it can be reproduced on this forum after publication.

It's the late Mr Ronnie McCartney. I had the honour of meeting him a few times and he was a really lovely and humble man.
That car (reg by the way is 7444 JI not JL) won the Circuit of Ireland outright in 1964.
