This one's going to get interesting. Chassis plate is in lovely nick and the rear badge must have been added after a few beers! No top dash vinyl yet they've got the regulator in the right place.

I thought the regulator on early dry S's were flat on the bulkhead crossmember, straddling one of the subframe tower bolts ?

I bet neither of those Ss are original shells , if they were they would have images of S details like boot brackets etc , what's the point of distant images !

More's the point they never made a 1071 in that colour/trim combo in a hydro shell!

"In short it appears to be an original and unmolested 1964 1071cc Cooper S, evidenced by the Heritage Certificate, which shows it was delivered to the Yeovil dealer in June 1964 but not sold/until May 1965 when it was first registered. As it was a very late 1071, it has the very rare type of sun visors which hinge outwards and clip above the doors to give sun protection from the side. These are very rarely seen on 1071 cars"

In short that would seem like complete boll*x!

W&P didn't finish the roof gutters like that at the rear so I'd say definately not. Arches don't look familiar either. Looks to me like a home modded car with some Radford seats?

From what I see no it's not a WP, their seat were different. But it is fitted with a nice set of pre 66 radford seats. Nice project all the same.

One rather important detail that the seller does fail to mention is that the Heritage Certificate will indicate Almond Green/OEW as the original colour :o

It would have been about 10 years ago. A guy called Jason from Torquay was selling a C reg 970s which I recall being some sort of odd fusion between a Mk2, a V5C and other bits It was almond green OEW and had a set of 4 700 lamps. I remember flagging this up and him getting very upset about it. As they say, there are two born every minute, just in case one dies. This could be unrelated, but he was quite good at magicing up various Coopers and Esses IIRC.
